About Us

Whitney, owner and lead planner of Stellar Events, is a native of Huntsville, Alabama. With stints in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham, her heart will always be in the South, but loves to travel to learn more about new places, cultures, and experiences.  She cares for her clients' unique backgrounds and experiences, and she wants to incorporate those into your event.

Whitney gravitates towards eclectic, modern, alternative styles, while still being able to relish the classics.  We specialize in understanding your specific interests, personality, and goals to incorporate into your event.  We understand the importance of staying true to your aesthetic and brand.

Whitney has always been passionate about creating unique, memorable events that cultivate community.  She has been involved in events of all types for over a decade.  Beginning in non-profit fundraising, she has hosted art, wine, golf, corporate, and festival events. While teaching for several years, she continued to volunteer as an event coordinator and planner for weddings, parties, fundraisers, and school events.  She has experience in all aspects of event planning from beginning to finish, and she is constantly striving to learn new skills. No challenge is too daunting for Whitney -- if you can dream an idea, she will find a way to make it a reality.



As the owner and lead planner of Stellar Events, Whitney has valuable knowledge and experience planning a multitude of different events. She is a former non-profit fundraiser and teacher. Following her dream of planning events full-time, she started Stellar Events in 2020.

Mitchell is the co-owner of Stellar Events and serves as our prop guru.  A biomedical engineer by day, woodworker by night, Mitch helps Stellar Events on the weekends by helping us build custom backdrops and props for events.

Sarah serves as our layout and detail queen! Her analytical mindset and extreme attention to detail allow her to execute your vision expertly. Sarah strives to exceed expectations for all of our clients. She is a seasoned event professional who has worked in the industry for over 20+ years. Sarah also operates as the Member Relations Coordinator at The Ledges specializing in hospitality and member events.



Libbi is our assistant coordinator and concierge.  As a former elementary school teacher, she can run circles around all of us!  She’s a bright, fun personality to serve your wedding party and family.  She’s creative, detail-oriented, and a natural at event coordination. Libbi works full time as a Curriculum Designer and helps us as assistant on event days.



Claire is an Assistant Coordinator.  Claire is from North Carolina and graduated UNC Chapel Hill in 2017. After a few years in Ohio, she is happy to be back in the south in Madison, Alabama. Claire married her husband, Dillon, in 2022 and together they have two dogs, Maddie and Riley, and a cat, Mila. In her free time, Claire enjoys creating art, thrifting, reading, and hiking.
